This roly poly baby is so happy and funny, she’s a delight to be around. It just gets better and better as she waves, laughs and makes funny faces more and more.
We’ve been enjoying dance parties to old school tunes like Busted, The Feeling and Busted. Amelia thinks it’s hilarious. I’m also being inspired to read even more by listening to the ‘What Should I Read Next‘ podcast, and enjoying tandem reading books- I usually only read one book at a time so this feels strange! Currently enjoying Anne of Avonlea, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society and Tom’s Midnight Garden.
I’m enjoying finding beautiful quotes in the books I’m reading and new to me quotes for my #100daysofflowersandwords. I’m going to share them over here instead of constantly spamming Instagram so keep a look out for that. Phoebe has started painting flowers a lot, and they’re so sweet! This is the latest floral letter in my series and I’m hoping to keep the momentum going because I have so many fun ideas for them when they’re done!
We are all getting dirty fingers down at the allotment which is slowly taking shape. Some spurts of sunshine (hello British summertime!) mean we had a picnic breakfast last Saturday which was fun. Looking forward to all the weddings coming up, spending time in Sheffield and catching up with friends there. Here’s to some sun-filled days (we may be British but we can hope!?)
Watching Harry Potter for the first time in a long time, psyching myself up to read through the books again (I prefer to watch films before I read the books they’re based on, as that way I’m adding detail and not noticing as much the inevitable omissions!)
I’m working my way through Acts with She Reads Truth as well as recording and documenting what God is teaching me in other places and at church etc. This really struck me, especially in this season. We aren’t called to be perfect- but to be faithful to God who is.
What have you been up to lately? Are you re watching or re-reading anything this summer? Are you going to get away anywhere?
