pinning sewing projects and bullet journalling tips. Does anyone else use a bullet journal? It seems like a good method but one that requires a lot of work initially setting up the pages you want and making sure you keep on top of it.
feeling hopeful, busy and full. It’s fair to say that three children (or two, or one) is simultaneously overwhelming and wonderful, hard and a place that I just feel happy to be in. Those moments when you can sit back and take stock of all the joy around you and know that these are the days– they are good moments- despite the chaos, noise and general hard work involved.
helping my cousin with an exciting new project, doing some art and marketing bits and bobs for it. I’ll share more once the details are finalised!
working my way through Matthew, slowly slowly, illustrating some bits in my journalling Bible and just trying to unpick it and absorb it. Although so many of the stories and occurrences are familiar from a lifetime of hearing God’s word at church, school and home, meeting Jesus walking the earth is completely fresh again whilst reading this gospel.
planning some fun new things for the community over on Our Creative Isle. I am amazed at how quickly the community is growing and looking forward to seeing where the future takes us. I’m excited for telling more stories of creativity here in the UK, and sharing them with others. If you’re a creative or you love supporting the creativity of others, come and join us!
listening to podcasts whilst washing up, and learning my lesson from listening to them in the middle of the night and then staying awake for an extra hour or two!
absorbing words from Anne of Green Gables and relishing in the lovely language of LM Montgomery. I’ve got through it incredibly slowly but I finding plenty of delicious quotes. I’ve shared a few over on my instagram page, and I’m looking forward to re-reading the rest of the series.
filling notebooks again, pages and pages of writing, ideas, planning, digging into what embracing this season of motherhood looks like and ideas for other creative endeavours that I have pouring into my head constantly. I’m not sure when I became an ‘ideas’ person, but if I had unlimited time and resources, I would have about 8 different projects on the go right now! Instead I’m sticking with penning them and waiting to see if any need to be brought to fruition.
loving a spot of sunny weather and spending time doing different things like building dens in the woods, visiting a farm, catching up with old friends and just enjoying playdates and relaxing at home with nowhere we have to be.
trying to be persistent with embroidery- and I’m actually at the point of enjoying it now! I made a few presents recently and loved the process as much as the end result.
What have you been up to over this Easter? Have you tried anything new or been anywhere interesting?
