The Vyne is a lovely National Trust property in Hampshire that we visited on a sunny Bank Holiday Monday. With a lovely house that has links to Henry VIII, beautiful grounds and an amazing Hobbit themed playground (apparently JRR Tolkein got inspired by a Roman ring at the house) we spent a great day in the sunshine together. I particularly loved the walled garden which reminded me so much of Tom’s Midnight Garden. A beautiful greenhouse, a little nest built on top top of the walls, beautiful flowers and vegetables growing everywhere. The whole place is beautiful and perfect food for the imagination. Let’s see how long it takes for these colours, flowers or other inspiration to creep into my painting!
