Here’s part 2 in my mini podcast recommendation series. Part one has some recommendations for good podcasts to listen to about motherhood- and this one is all about faith.
As I’m sure you know being a part of the body of Christ, the church family is so important and encouraging in your Christian walk. But the time between each Sunday can be long, and whilst it’s great to meet up with friends from church in the week another way I find I can meditate on God’s words, be reminded of my heavenly perspective on life and to be walking by faith is by listening to podcasts as I am doing things like walking, sorting washing or generally picking up all the small things that have been scattered on the floor.
A few of these might overlap with motherhood ones so make sure you check out that post if you want specific motherhood- faith podcasts!
Journeywoman podcast is a great podcast I only recently found. Hunter interviews different guests to talk about their journey of faith and share how God is working in their lives. Just full of wisdom and great truth it’s a lovely one for feeling like you’re chatting with friends whilst washing up or whatever else you do when you listen to podcasts!
Set apart Girl has some wonderful episodes on all kinds of topics which are relevant this day and age, and how to approach them with grace and with our faith. From being set apart in social media, dressing and having a guarded tongue, there’s a wealth of insight on how to be set apart for God in a world full of other things.
The Next Right thing is a podcast from Emily P Freeman about making decisions and giving your soul space to breathe. With short episodes, each one is like a little mental rest and refresh in the middle of the day (or whenever you listen to it!)
Dear Daughters Podcast is a sweet conversation between Susie the podcast host and her guest, sharing wisdom and nuggets that they would like to pass on to their daughters. The joy is that we get to be those daughters and share in that wisdom and insight.
Cultivating the Lovely – Mackenzie Monroe hosts a really lovely podcast all about cultivating the lovely in your everyday life. From chats with others, talking about ways to make your home, life and Bible study lovely, it’s a breath of brightness to listen to. (does that phrase even make sense?!)
Illustrated Faith– the first few episodes of this podcast are perfect if you’re at all intrigued about Bible journaling, documenting your faith in a creative way or just want to know what Bible journaling even is. It hasn’t had any new podcast episodes in a while but worth listening to these if you haven’t yet.
Tell her story – Sarah Ann hosted this podcast, and whilst it’s not got new episodes for you it’s another you’ll want to go back and listen to each episode there is. She talks honestly and openly with other women about their story of faith, life and how God has woven it all together. I can’t find the link to her website about the podcast- but if you search ‘tell her story Sarah Ann’ in the iTunes or podcast app you’ll find them!
Do you have other favourite podcasts all about faith? I find I discover more and more but just don’t have enough time to listen to all of them! But if you’re newer to podcasts or wanted some new things to listen to here’s just a few suggestions.
