We are nearing the close of the 100 day project- so it’s time for another Sketchbook Saturday! You can follow along on social media to see them daily too. I am slowly deciding which pieces to turn into prints and other things for my little website shop, but I’ve loved exploring and celebrating the beauty of the written word throughout this project. Of course I have only scratched the surface with so many words that resonate deeply, that can cause us to think, pause, and to love our own lives better.
Sometimes I feel like I have lots of words to write and share, and other times sharing beautiful, beautiful truths from classic books and writing suffices without me adding to them. Words have so much power to connect and encourage, to build our imaginations and grow understanding of so many wonderful and difficult parts of life. I need words daily, reminding me of truth, words to connect with others and words to explore imaginary lands and help me understand my own life’s landscape more fully.
Words that stand the test of time, classic books and literature that can cut to the heart of life – whether in children’s books or not- are so precious. Words that have been held onto over time, through generations and passed with loving connections between parents and children, shared dog eared pages between friends.
I will be gradually getting some of these ready as prints to go in my little website shop over the summer- but in the meantime if there are any you’d love to have sooner, just send me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I can sort it for you sooner!
