This 100 day project has naturally evolved into a few different chunks- lettering Bible verses, some classic children’s book quotes, C S Lewis’ wisdom, floral and butterfly weaves and later some fictional houses (so fun! That post will be up soon!) During this part I was continuing with my Anne of Green Gables series re-read, and met some lovely kindred spirits on instagram as part of the 12 days of annestagram, so this portion of the project reflects those things, with quite a few Anne of Green Gables quotes!
I began the project with a few ideas of things that I could explore or cover during the course of the 100 days, and as it’s progressed of course I have found that there are more ideas than I have time for in a day- or will have time for during the 100 days even. The end has snuck up on me! It’s such a testament to say that small things add up though. Doing something intentional every day- whether that’s choosing to eat a banana, or dancing, or doing a chunk of a project- does all add up. Time continues ticking along and we can choose to enjoy and be intentional with each day, loving the season we are in, or we can sit back and watch the days pass by, wondering why we aren’t making progress on things. When it’s discouraging and you feel like you can’t make forwards progress, just choose one tiny action each day. It might seem better to be able to do something in a big chunk but small steps will still get you there, and you will continue to move forward. (Something I need to remember when the days are long and bedtimes take forever- meaning that evenings to do things are rapidly shrinking!)
The Anne books are full of such beautiful language, descriptions and these wonderful Anne of Green Gables quotes. I’m enjoying slowly sitting and savouring the familiar words and stories as I re-read the books- let’s see how many more quotes I come across through the next few books!
