The tree lights twinkle with a silent welcome in those early hours when the smalllest feet creep down through darkness. Anticipation is the best part of this season- seeing the atmosphere around become magical, waiting the quiet wonder of a baby born, God come to rescue the world in the smallest of forms.
Here are a few Christmassy things to take you through the weekend/ week ahead-
I got this edition (above) of a Christmas Carol to read aloud- whether we will make it through the whole thing I don’t know but I will enjoy myself anyway! I also saw this beautiful edition which contains different Christmas writings by Dickens, so maybe I will get that one next year.
Tomorrow we are hoping to watch the new Grinch film – we watched the 2000 one on Tuesday with our youth group and it’s one of my favourite festive films. Followed by not one but two nativities this weekend!
I’m looking forward to reading Mr Dickens and his Carol with our little online reading club. It’s only 99p on kindle (right now) and tells the tale of how a Christmas Carol came to be- so if you’d like to read it and join us and our Facebook group just head here!
Have a lovely week enjoying the festivities- and don’t forget last orders for my shop are this weekend ✨
