The summer holidays are here! Our oldest two finally broke up yesterday and the weather has just got hotter and hotter- today it’s 37!
Six weeks are going to fly by I’m sure- we have various bits and bobs planned before we go away; but something I would love to do is to spend more time reading while everyone is at home together this summer. Everyone loves books when we are at the library, bookshop and bedtime but I would love to spend more time in the day sharing books. Phoebe is also speeding through the library reading challenge so I thought it would be fun to set a family reading goal for the summer.
So this summer we are going to aim to read 100 books between us. I’m not too fussed about exactly what that looks like- I think a lot will be shorter ones that are read aloud and shared, and I expect some will be read with one child or independently rather than all together.
Ive made a little progress chart with 100 circles so that we can colour / tick off each book as we go and have a visual way to chart our progress.
If you want to do this yourself then you can either click or save the image at the bottom for your own reading challenge printable too. I’d love to see!
